AUTUMN IN ASTURIAS
Asturias is located in the NORTH of Spain
It is bordered on the North by the Cantabrian Sea, on the West by Galicia, on the South by Castilla-León and on the East by Cantabria
THE COAST IN ASTURIAS
There are steep cliffs ( 345km). It goes from Eo Ria to Tina Mayor Ria.

The main municipalities are: Oviedo, Avilés, Gijón
Our municipality is Carreño. It has 12 parishes

HORREOS
Elevated barns built with wood and with a squared ground plan, over stone or wooden columns called "pegoyos", roofed with four slopes of tile or slate. They preserve harvests from humidity.
MARIÑANAS
Farming house with only one floor with two spaces: stables and rooms
SYMBOLS
The flag is blue with a yellow cross.
The shield includes an inscription in latin:
"Hoc signo tuetur pius. Hoc signo vinctur inimicus"
( the pious are protected, the enemy is vanquished)
